Long-Standing Collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO)

INBIT has maintained a steady and impactful collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) since the late 1980s. Over more than three decades, this partnership has contributed to strengthening health systems, advancing medical device governance, and supporting evidence-based healthcare decision-making.

Building on this long-standing relationship, INBIT has successfully been designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre, further formalizing its role in supporting WHO’s global initiatives in health technology management and assessment.

Official WHO Collaborating Centre Designation

On 3 March 2026, WHO formally informed INBIT that it had been designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Medical Equipment Management and Assessment under WHO reference number GRE-36. The designation is effective for four years, from 25 February 2026 until 24 February 2030.
