{"id":225308,"date":"2026-02-24T12:46:55","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T09:46:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new-inbit.dev-praxis.gr\/?post_type=hta_library&#038;p=225308"},"modified":"2026-02-24T12:46:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T09:46:57","slug":"from-health-technology-assessment-to-health-technology-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"hta_library","link":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/hta_library\/from-health-technology-assessment-to-health-technology-sustainability\/","title":{"rendered":"From Health Technology Assessment to Health Technology Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Abstract: This paper aims to propose a methodological lens to the assessment of technological\u00a0innovations in healthcare based on the principles of social, economic, and political sustainability.\u00a0Starting from the consideration of a lack of a unified interpretative framework of health technology\u00a0assessment, using a content analysis of the relevant literature on the topic, we identified both the\u00a0scientific perspectives adopted by the scholars and the most widely discussed topics. Consequently,\u00a0the less explored scientific areas were framed, and, therefore, those more susceptible to further\u00a0investigation came to light. The result is an overall picture which highlights the absence of unified\u00a0and generally accepted approaches to evaluation, together with the lack of awareness on the fact\u00a0that the multiplicity of methods adopted is essentially connected to the multiplicity of innovations,\u00a0for each of which a method (or a set of methods) of preferable evaluation can be prefigured.
