Methods: A targeted literature reviewwas conducted using a two-stage search strategy. First, HTA reviews\u00a0of manufacturers\u2019 drug submissions, reports from established HTA\u00a0organizations (Europe, Canada, and Australia), and CGs from countries\u00a0with and without HTA organizations, including the United States,\u00a0were identified. Documents published between September 30, 2006\u00a0and September 30, 2016, were examined for cardiovascular risk\u00a0equations, recommendations, and commentaries. Next, publications\u00a0associated with risk equations and cited by HTA and CG documents\u00a0were retrieved.
