{"id":225588,"date":"2026-02-26T13:46:37","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T10:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new-inbit.dev-praxis.gr\/?post_type=hta_library&#038;p=225588"},"modified":"2026-02-26T13:46:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T10:46:37","slug":"hta-report-new-devices-for-the-management-of-glycaemia-in-young-diabetics","status":"publish","type":"hta_library","link":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/hta_library\/hta-report-new-devices-for-the-management-of-glycaemia-in-young-diabetics\/","title":{"rendered":"HTA report: new devices for the management of glycaemia in young diabetics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The report is developed to answer the question: \u201cAre there economically sustainable new devices to enhance the management of diabetes type I in people aged 0-18 and do they provide better health and quality of life to patients and carers?\u201d The topic of the report is Sensor augmented insulin pump (or SAP for short) which is a convergence of two technologies: continuous insulin infusion and real-time continuous glucose monitoring (CGMS). The evidence on clinical effectiveness and safety has been synthesised by a systematic review of literature while, to describe the patterns of use and expected expenditure of the device we performed a contextual analysis in the regions which took part in the assessment. Although SAP therapy has a lot of theoretical advantages compared to the use of either single-component devices or daily injection of insulin with self-montoring, our researchers were unable to identify any evidence that such advantages were converted into clinical benefits or enhancements in quality of life of young diabetics or their families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[50,60],"class_list":["post-225588","hta_library","type-hta_library","status-publish","hentry","tag-diabetes","tag-glycaemia"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/hta_library\/225588","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/hta_library"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/hta_library"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=225588"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=225588"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.inbit.gr\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=225588"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
