Infection prevention and control during health care when novel coronavirus (nCoV) infection is suspected

The WHO recommends strategies and practices when COVID-19 is suspected, regarding the infection prevention and control (IPC), the outpatient care, collecting and handling laboratory specimens and duration of contact and droplet precautions, in order to prevent or limit transmission in health care settings. This guidance is intended for healthcare workers (HCWs), healthcare managers and IPC teams at the facility level but it is also relevant for the national and district/provincial level.
