MAKING INTERNATIONAL GUIDANCE ACCESSIBLE TO NATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEMS
In agreement with the World Health Organization, INBIT has undertaken the translation into Greek of selected publications from the WHO Medical Device Technical Series. These documents address critical aspects of health technologies, including procurement, management, assessment, regulation, and policy development.
To date, four official translations have been completed and published in hard copy. These publications have also been uploaded to the official WHO website, extending their accessibility and international reach. Additional translations are currently in preparation and will be released in the coming period.
By making this guidance available in Greek, INBIT facilitates informed decision-making and supports the consistent application of international standards across the healthcare sector in Greece.

In addition to knowledge translation activities, INBIT contributes directly to the development of evidence-informed studies in collaboration with the World Health Organization and national stakeholders. The WHO Office in Greece has published the study “Rationalizing Distribution and Utilization of High-Value Capital Medical Equipment in Greece”, which was primarily conducted and authored by INBIT.
This study provides evidence-informed analysis and recommendations to support more effective planning, allocation, and use of high-value medical equipment within the Greek health system, contributing to improved efficiency, equity, and sustainability.
INBIT’s publication work contributes to capacity-building and the dissemination of WHO guidance in Greece, supporting its effective use within the national health system.
