INBIT is pleased to present its updated BME Study Programs in Europe platform — a searchable resource providing an overview of Biomedical Engineering education across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
Developed by INBIT in collaboration with the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES), the database currently maps:
🎓 559 active BME programmes
🏛️ 348 higher education institutions
🌍 38 countries
Users can explore undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes by country, degree level, language, city and duration, providing a valuable resource for students, educators, universities, professional societies and policy stakeholders.
📊 The latest results and the evolution of Biomedical Engineering education in Europe were also presented at MEDICON 2026 by Christos Alexandropoulos.
The presentation generated very positive feedback and stimulating discussions, particularly around the significant expansion of BME education in Europe and the importance of understanding how programmes are evolving across different countries and academic levels.
